I have origional medicare/ plan G supplement and standard plan D drug plan. I know the Obinutuzumab infusions are totally covered. Since I have low adjusted gross income now that we are retired. I applied for copay assistance through Pan. I got on the list and the contacted me that funds were coming. Did I want to go ahead and apply for a grant? Sure! Few days ago I filled out the form and submitted. Well today they emailed me, I was approved... The grant is for the Venetoclax copay for $9,700.00.I have no idea what my actual copay would be for the V part of the OV???? Seems like pan knows since I sent my medicare info.
My question is.....does anyone know if on standard part D. That the V part of the OV combo copay comes to $9700 ?????
Just want to have my ducks in a row.

IMO- the amount of the grants are set by the donor, probably based on the available funds. In my past, I have had 4 similar sized grants, one lasted for 13 months of copays and another last for 11 months. See: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

When the first grant ran out, I then talked to the Specialty Pharmacy that was Fed-Exing the drugs to me, to LLS.org and/or the staff at my CLL expert's offices, and they found another grant to cover me. The landscape seems to change all the time as each charity gets funded in donations by the Pharma companies.
I have private insurance with a 20% co-pay. O copay was $$8000 and V co-pay was $6000. Good thing I have a max out of pocket of $4500. Last year had LSS grant and it was a great help until it dried up. So this year I am paying off the $4500 a little at a time.
Read your bio, looks like your doing well on V and O. It didn't look like much fun getting there.Spleen, fatigue, feeling bad which I call SFC.
Had a date with my daughter, had to cancel. Told her I had SFC just to mess with her. She is smart and curious. Two weeks later, she said Dad whats SFC? I tried to find what that is and could not. I said, I made it up and it stands for..........Suddenly feeling crappy! I am sure you and others here can relate to that one.
Apply to the Venclexta people to see if you qualify for free drug. No running through Medicare, or donut holes, or anything else Medicare related to worry about.
If you are near any of the study sites comparing V&O with V&A, I was just told the *drug companies* are picking up the costs of the meds for this particular study. You get randomized to V&O or V&A, you don't get to pick. It's not blinded, you know which arm you are on.
