Post Covid Problems

I am 82 and been in remission since July 2020. This past Dec. I contacted Covid and the same day started anti viral meddication. The accual bout of Covid was fairly mild. After i tested negitive I still felt weak, my joints ached and I had night sweats. Recently I have felt stronger and my aches have disappeaared but the night sweats have continued. Has any one else had similar conditions? I have had 6 vacinations and after 5, I still tested no immunity to Covid.

Now that you mention it, I did have night sweats both during and for a few weeks after my bout with Covid. I had horrible joint aches at the start of Covid but those cleared up when I had been on Paxlovid for a few days. I needed two rounds of Paxlovid and was sick with Covid for the better part of a month, from late Sept 2022 to late October 2022. I too have had 6 Covid shots. I did make antibodies. I am on watch and wait. Unmutated. 13q del.

I also had night sweats in January while suffering from a cold that I got around New Years, two months after I was better from Covid. The cold lasted almost a month, but I am feeling much better and sleeping well again. No night sweats. I hope you feel all better soon!

Back in May, 2022, with my COVID infection I had alternating sweats and chills, which is different from night sweats, I believe. Sweats and chills are typical with many kinds of infections. Do you have any other infection symptoms - cough, headache, fever? Secondary bacterial and other viral infections can happen during and right after COVID.

Night sweats are also a typical CLL symptom. Do you have any other CLL symptoms - like swollen nodes or spleen? Have you had a CLL followup since your COVID infection?

Thanks Seymour, Right now the night sweats are the only symptoms. I had they other symptoms many time in the past. As a matter of fact I am having complete blood work done this Wednesday and see my GP on friday. Right now I'm not schedueled to see my Oncologist till May 1
