atorvastain side affects

Have people and bad Side affects and been unwell when taking atorvastatin when on itruibuib

Duder,

I take both of those meds at the same time in the morning and have been doing fine.

I take a low dose of 10mg of the Atorvastatin though.

I take 420 mg ibrutinib at 4 pm and 20 mg atorvastatin 9 pm. Have been on this regimen for 3+ years. with no issues or side effects. Everybody responds differently, so not sure you can draw any conclusions from sparse data.

Hi Duder

I am on a very high dose of atorvastatin 80mg daily, because I have a stent. about 20 years ago I was given one or other of the statins and I had major side effects - I can't remember what they were called. I stopped taking them, and then I had a silent heart attack nearly 3 years ago, which is why I have the stents. I was put on this high dose whilst I was in the hospital and told I must stay on them for life, and if any doctor tries to insist on lowering the dose, I must refer them to the doctor at the hospital. I was worried having had side effects in the past; but I have no side effects at all. I am on W&W so no CLL medication. I know that if I had persevered with them 20 years ago, I wouldn't have needed the stents.

I hope your side effects go away, if they don't ask about other statins. and perhaps ask to speak to a cardiologist. However good your haematologist is he won't have a great knowledge of cardiovascular issues.
