Hi Imalpn,

-

My wife and I got the bivalent booster the first day it was authorized, and we snagged appointments at our local CVS without a prescription.

I had no reaction, my non CLL wife had her usual sore arm and 24 hours of flu like discomfort (slight body aches, mild headache, fatigue) and then was fine.

I got the bivalent yesterday, and unlike my earlier Covid vaccines, I have an extremely sore arm, interfering with sleep. I feel tired, IDK if it's from lack of sleep or the vaccine. I was sleep deprived going in, so already tired/exhausted. My CLL specialist and nurse both commented I "looked tired" when I saw them Thursday, and I had put on undereye concealer and makeup in an effort to not look awful. Plus I am once again slightly anemic, Grade 1, my diet has been poor this past month.

I had the moderna bivalent vaccination on Fri (9/23). The next day I had body aches, headache, fatigue and some vertigo. Today I feel much better. With my previous booster (also moderna) in April, I experienced terrible chills and headache and fatigue which lasted 24 hours.

With this Moderna bivalent vax I had a 101 degree fever, headache, sore legs, extreme fatigue and a chill. I feel like I can’t get out of bed which surprised me because with other Moderna Vaxs, I only had pain at the injection site and felt fine. I’m curious to hear what others are experiencing.

I had the Moderna bivalent vaccine last week. Only side effects were a sore arm

God reason for spacing out COVID, flu and shingrix vaccines

I think it's the Moderna vaccine that gives a reaction. I have had both the normal Moderna and the latest one with the Omnicom version on both occasions I had a very sore arm for about a week. My wife who doesn't have CLL was laid up for two days with the flu like symptoms.

my wife and I both had Moderna last week. Slightly sore arm was the only reaction.

I had a sore arm for a few days after the bivalent Moderna jab. I had the flu jab 8 days later with no side effects.

I had Moderna bivalent vax at 0900 on Sat morning and was fine for a while. At 5pm that afternoon a truck hit me. Fever and chills and within 2-3 hrs my temperature was spiking at 40C (104F). I think that is higher than I have ever experienced. By next morning, it was back to normal!!

I should say that I have just started Acalibrutinib + all the supporting meds, so maybe the cocktail was explosive! I feared something like this happening and had declined having it together with the flu jab, which I had the week earlier for that reason.

Now Monday morning and I just feel washed out but no temperature. My wife got away Scot- free with no reaction at all. How do they do it??!! Handley

I had the Phizer bivalent vaccine on the same day as my IVIG. I had gotten the two boosters on my IVIG days with no problem. About 10 hours later I was running a fever and feeling achy. My temperature was over 100 F for awhile. I was up all night pushing fluids and was in bed most of the next day. I will be getting the second shot at least a week apart from my next 8 week IVIG.

I had the bivalent Moderna booster almost two weeks ago and had no side effects at all. My arm was slightly sore at the injection site only if I touched it.

I had Evusheld end of April and still had antibodies of 1370 (none from prior vaccine/booster) when tested last month. Planning to get Evusheld again late October or early November.

I am treatment naive. I had both the flu shot and the Moderna Omicron shot. I felt fine for two days other than a sore arm. After two days, I felt tired and headachy for the 3rd and 4th day. Finally on the 5th day, I felt reasonably Ok again.

Got Moderna bivalent booster on Wednesday. Had no reaction to previous 5 shots, but this one was doozie: dizzy, fainting feeling, systolic dropped into 90s, pulse rate rose to 100 from 60. Seems to be improving slowly.
