timing of evushield and vaccines

i was in treatment for CLL - most of 2021. Got Covid end of December - very sick - multiple hospital stays, acute respiratory distress syndrome, heart issues- but praise -God - came out of hospital mid- February - weak but better.

March - Evushield

June - Doctors decided to not resume the 2 last months of treatment and was declared in full remission per additional tests - heart valve issues resolved and lungs fully recovered- felt really good.

July - Covid again but Paxlovid shut it down. But produced antibodies!!!

August - daughter got married - multiple people got Covid but I did not.

They are offering evu. again. I was going to start the vaccination process for Covid and then get Evushield 2 weeks after. Can I get Evu now and start the vaccination process in October?

Sorry - don’t think my doctors really know - but will ask them.

Ruth (62 - pretty healthy right now).

Hi Ruth,

You have faced off some challenges. Thanks for your encouraging update.

Until recently the guidance was to have COVID-19 vaccinations at least two weeks prior to your Evusheld shots. There was no guidance on when to have COVID-19 boosters after your Evusheld shots. The just released guidance is it doesn't matter!

Hi, There really doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer to that question. I had the new booster last week and will receive Evusheld October 5. It has to be at least 2 weeks since booster before receiving Evusheld.Planning on getting the flu shot at the end of October. I had Covid in May -One month after receiving Evusheld and it was nothing more than a runny nose so I’m calling that a win ! I’m so glad you’ve made a full recovery and are also in remission! Double win!

Hi Ruth, I was told to wait minimum of 2 weeks between the evusheld booster and the booster for covid. I do think it's probably better to wait so the body can adjust to one booster before receiving another. I'm not a physician, just my opinion.
