Update to my post on Monday asking people's thoughts on treatments once testing positive: first of all, thank you to all who replied and offered resources and advice!
My husband tested positive Mon evening, by Tues afternoon he had received B-mab infusion. Was told side effects could be similar to flu, which is what he felt yesterday. Very low grade fever Tues PM and yesterday AM, normal by yesterday afternoon. Pulse ox 96-97-98, no loss of smell/taste, vaguely achy, slightly stuffy nose...and that's where he is today, Thursday morning. Trying not to jinx it, but it seems the B-mab really worked - so I truly hope others who are unfortunate to contract Covid are able to get it also!
New question - have heard/read differing things on when he no longer needs to isolate. Have read 10-20 days, nurse said same, doc said 6 days from start of symptoms if he gets/feels better and 10 if not (obviously if he's not feeling better he won't change a thing!). Husband is anxious to come out of his "Covid cell", but we're not sure when others have done that either. I know one can test positive long after no longer feeling ill. What have others, who've had Covid, been told?

I suspect you are reading the 10 + days from conservative data extrapolated early in 2020 and the Pandemic. I believe as we progressed through Delta to Omicron and now to the subvariants, some of the expert advice now has shortened the isolation period to 5 or 6 days to match better, more accurate info on actual case histories with those new variants.
Thanks for your reply!!! That’s what I thought might be the case. If all goes well, that means he might be able to leave his “Misery bed and breakfast” by Saturday. I’m just grateful that the Evusheld and B-mab have meant he’s home getting room service instead of being in the hospital right now.
I am glad he is better and a thumbs up for the treatment , who did you get in touch with initially, was it your Gp who referred him or the covid pod team, I work in the NHS respite care with vulnerable adults, we isolate minium of 5 days and then test till we are negative on the LFT if thats any help Stewie
Unfortunately I think the US adopted the shorter timeframe so "everyone could get back to normal faster", not anything based on the science. They looked at the statistics for how long out someone is still infectious, and cut the recommendation based on a "low risk" of transmitting the disease. Not because of data indicating the infectious period for the later variants is less than the original.
According to Dana farber (Boston) you need to quarantine 20 days. Primary care was saying 5 days and then 5 more days with mask, however if you are immunosuppressive you can have breakthrough infection. I know it is a long time…My understanding is that they do see people who are negative then pop up positive again…
I tested positive Wednesday morning. I drove 4 hours to get b mab infusion at Ohio State on Thursday. After infusion, I stayed for 1 1/2 for observation. Vitals all normal. On the way home, about 3 hours later, I developed significant chills and had to pull over at rest stop. I can't believe I made it home. Went to bed when I got home still had chills and temp of 102! Really sick. Slept for 12 hours woke up and feel like I never had the Covid. In my opinion, the drug works but I apparently had some unusual side effects and they were rough!4 years w and w. Alc 49, plats125. Hemoglobin 14.2
My son in law to be is on a committee with Fauci re COVID( he is a doctor). He is telling me 5 more days, which takes me to Tuesday. He said I should Covid test to be sure.
I have known family and friends take up to 10 days to test negative. This version of Omicron seems to have symptoms similar to the posts here. Feeling cold with flu like illness is common. Strangely I didnt know anyone with covid until the last few weeks. There are a few people wearing masks in shops but life seems to be back to normal. I dont know how we have avoided it but we are in more danger now. Its strange because the virus is invisible and its so easy to look at people enjoying themselves and imagine it could be me.

OaktownA. How is your husband doing. We caught covid at about the same time. I think we both had bebtelivimab. I am day 20 after infection and day 17 since symptoms. Have annoying dry cough, still congested. I an still checking 02 for any pneumonia.
