I went through the exact same issue whilst on W&W specialist advised me that they had seen it in a few CLL patients,I used to get itchy welts all over the body and I would h ave to rub up against the door jam to get some relief.I had 12 biopsies taken of the welts when they were active but alas nothing.I eliminated foods etc one by one and again no results.I was advised to turn down the temperature on the shower and avoid wearing clothes that are too tight and will cause the body to heat up,I did this and it helped but didn’t go away, only one thing left to do,I was using a topical steroid(not strong)for a mild case of psoriasis, I stopped using it and low and behold it all went away.
I don’t want to steal anybodys thunder but one of the previous replies touched on this .I hope this helps as I know ,that itching ,drives you crazy
It has never returned.

Thank you, currently looking at all products that hubby is using, threw out VO5 hair preparation because it contained Propylene Glycol, apparently a known source of allergy (so why put it in products at all!!!) and looking closely through everything at the moment.
Really simplify.. baby shampoo and washing liquids.. gentler laundry product.. stay hydrated.. I’d say supplement with a good multi vit, also magnesium citrate or better (taurate/bisglycinate), not oxide.I’d forgotten the itching.. oat extract and shea butter moisturiser made little impact.. if I could have, I would have checked and tried to make humidity 50-60%
Getting rid of all Propylene Glycol is a tough one and is used in many lotions and etc so they do not dry out. Propylene Glycol is also used in drinking water systems as an antifreeze. Those soft chewy cookies contain Propylene Glycol. Best going forward.
I tried everything for itching and extremely dry skin. The only thing that works for me is a Aveeno eczema therapy itch relief balm. My skin feels soft and hydrated again. Hope it works for you.
My hubby appears to get poison ivy in the extreme from only looking at it. Now, he too is allergic to the steroid cream that was meant to help. This year, he is now allergic the antibiotics given for a sinus infection. He was in the ER last week with the epi shot and all. The sinus infection is recurring because of allergies to smoke and trees. I don't know how much his cll plays a part...but I know I am concerned what might be next.
As underwear - day and night - I wear every day and night a new sheet of disposable non woven fabric - as used for disposable massage table covers . I double it at the half mark and cut an opening to get it over my head. Thus I wear a new sheet each day like a "poncho" or nightgown . 20 pieces $ 15. No washing no drying. After use, the sheet can still be used cut into sections for housecleaning .
