Dear All,
My colleague in India sent me this: prnewswire.co.uk/news-relea...
"Phase 3 trial in India met the key endpoints and demonstrated reduction of viral load of 94% in 24 hours and 99% in 48 hours.
NONS was safe and well tolerated in COVID-19 patients.
Glenmark received manufacturing and marketing approval from India's drug regulator for Nitric Oxide Nasal Spray (NONS) as part of accelerated approval process."
Does anyone have insights on the value/efficacy of NONS?
A NCBI study (just 80 patients) concluded: " Accelerated SARS-CoV-2 clearance with NONS may reduce symptom duration, decrease infectivity period, reduce hospital admissions, and lower disease severity. Consequently, this study could be used as supporting evidence for emergency use of NONS for patients with mild COVID-19 infection.

And the NHS is looking at it: "The first UK clinical trials of a nasal spray proven to kill 99.9% of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 began on January 11th at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, in Surrey."
