Neutrophils low

Start Calquence from Aug 2021.

Neutrophils changed from 2.2xE9/L before start Drug to 1.0 after one month then slowly back to 1.8 at end of Nov.

so Doc change my blood test to 6 weeks, but after the 6 weeks blood test result Neutrophils change to 0.6, and the WBC form 4.0 xE9/L change to 2.6.

Did any one experience this too? any reason can cause this, have Doc appointment tomorrow, what should I ask him?

Thanks from Seng

Hi Sheng,

The manufacturers have updated advise to cover severity/grade 3 (0.5 to 0.99 and severity 4 (under 0.5) neutropenia, "with infection or fever" here:

imbruvicahcp.com/cll/dosing...

When I accessed the above today (4th January 2022), the recommendation, which could change in the future, was "to interrupt until improvement to grade 1 or baseline". Grade/severity level 1 neutropenia is between 1.5 and the lower reference limit, which is usually between 1.8 and 2.0, depending on your pathology laboratory.

Check with the doc if you can suspend it for a few weeks to see if it helps.
