Hi all, been busy for a while but back on here as I’ve been disabled by the third booster Pfizer (previous two were AZ) Tuesday morning had injection and was ok until early the following morning (04:00). Since then fever and chills more or less all the time, joint pain, fatigue, drenching night-sweats and soreness and a lump the size of a golf-ball under the arm which received the vaccination. Anyone here had similar and if so how long before it subsides?

I had the same vaccines and the same reaction - about 4 weeks ago. My fever and chills lasted 2 days but my lymphnode (in fact a cluster of them) grew to the size of an apple. It was very painful and unfortunately it landed me in a&e a week after I had the jab. I started having sharp stabbing chest pains, they kept me in for observations, ecg, etc. The conclusion was that the nodes were pressing on my nerves. Was on regular doses of paracetamol for two weeks and then it went back to its usual size and no more pain.
Since you have had the fever for a couple of days, I would probably call my GP if I were you, just so they are aware. I'm sure you will start feeling better soon.
Hi Poodle, Thanks for the info - a trouble shared is a trouble halved as my old sis used to say! I’ll give it till the end of the weekend an if no better then I’m off to the GP. Xx
I really don’t know how I would have survived without the brilliant folk on this site. You’re all so well informed, reasoned, and phlegmatic! Thank you all! Xx
Listen to Poodle2, call your GP. I am sorry you are having those side effects. I pray they do do not get worse and actually subside quickly. These Covid shots do deliver to many, an unwanted "punch" to our systems.Stay positive and update us on how you are doing. 🙂Sandra
My reaction to my first three Moderna’s is a three day bout of fever up to 101.6, massive fatigue, muscle aches and general malaise. It has begun each time about 16 hours after the injection. After three days of steady symptoms it suddenly lifts and the fever breaks and the energy flows back in. Just had fourth shot at booster strength yesterday afternoon and am awaiting the onset of round four symptoms now. If yours is like most it will go quickly after a few days.Good luck. I think it will pass quickly once it runs it’s course.
Cheers Ron, I’ve managed to stay awake for three consecutive hours this afternoon, which, given the last three days, is something of a record, so fingers crossed, I may be over the worst.
