Please get vaccinated

Please everyone get vaccinated not twice, but also the booster. I honestly believe the vaccination saved my life. It’s not about whether you get Covid, we all probably will. It’s how prepared is your body to fight it off.

I have had 3 Moderna full strength injections and 2 Pfizer and had 5 antibody tests. The first 3 tests showed no antibodies from vaccines and showed me to be negative on the direct infection antibodies. Then the 4th test showed 7.1 antibodies from the vaccine and a positive on the antibodies from a direct infection. The 5th test showed 14.2 antibodies from the vaccine and positive antibodies from a direct infection. I just had my 3rd Moderna full strength injection and I will be tested for the 6th time on November 30 or first week of December.

I figure I have done my best and will now be depending on the monoclonal antibodies or perhaps one of the pills if I get Covid.

Now I am not able to explain the positive testing for a direct infection however, I had been quite ill with something they couldn’t put a finger on for two months thro I was never tested for Covid. They now think I may have had a variant of Covid. Or perhaps I could be receiving antibodies from my IVIG as antibodies have been appearing in the IVIG’s since May. Either way I am very very fortunate to be now receiving IVIG every 4 weeks….that is a win win for me!

5 shots ? Was that your choice or did a dr suggest it? I’d be afraid I’d grow a 3rd arm !

Yes, the five shots were my choice as I wasn’t making any antibodies with the first two Moderna shots. So I decided I wasn’t waiting for the Moderna booster and started with the Pfizer series. Then decided to take the first Booster available and that was Moderna and I ask if I could have a full shot instead of the 50% booster and hey said yes so that gave me 5 full shots. My plan is to weight 4 months and maybe pursuit the Pfizer booster or third shot whatever they will give me. LLS knows what I am doing and they have me in there research study…. Am also in a research study with LabCorp. I made 7.1 antibodies after my 3rd shot and 14.2 antibodies after the 4th shot got of those were Pfizer. So I feel I will maybe now make a few more with the 5th shot which was a full strength Moderna. I will be tested in 4 weeks and we shall see.

At first I felt badly taking so many when so many still needed shots, however, I was told not to let that stop me as their was a surplus of vaccine.

I got a full dose of moderna on Saturday as a booster.

Mild pain in the arm, but nothing like the aftermath of Pfizer 2.

I had Covid-19 not long before I started chemo. Three weeks of my life I'll never get back.

I'll take all the vaccine I can get. Also got the flu vaccine on Saturday.
