What to expect when starting Acalabrutinib

I am due to start treatment shortly possibly Acalabrutinib because my numbers have just doubled in 6 months. Previously had received one only treatment of BR in March 2019 which done the job but with severe consequences resulting in 50 days in hospital/icu etc.

Whilst my numbers are low WBC 34 Alc 24. Up from 17 and 10. My main concern is fatigue ...yuk daily.

Will Acalabrutinib treatment improve fatigue symptoms?

I was under the impression that the doubling time became important once ALC was over 30. Apparently there may be exceptions.

LeoPa, lymphocyte doubling time is the least important of the triggers for starting treatment and even after the absolute lymphocyte count has increased above 30, it's used as an indication to look for other confirming factors that the time to start treatment has arrived. Severe fatigue is on its own a valid reason to start treatment.

Joffre, acalabrutinib should improve your fatigue, but sadly it's not a given. You may not see an improvement until a while after starting treatment.
