A 4th Moderna shot for the Immunocompromised?

A March 2016 CAR-T treatment permanently damaged my wife's bone marrow such that she does not produce immunoglobulins. She gets an IVIG infusion every 2 months. She has had 3 Moderna shots so far, the latest being in August 2021. My questioln is what is the guidance for a 4th Moderna shot for immunocompromised people?

There's a wide range of immune compromised. Some people are less some are more so. From what you say it seems that your wife won't be able to make any antibodies no matter how many shots she will be given. Probably she will get some antibodies from there infusions of IVIG that she is getting.

Thank you LeoPa. I've read that your T-cells build up an unknown level of covid-19 resistance (it is difficult to measure).

Yes I read that too. Then another expert said that it does not. Now I don't know who to believe. But I hope that the one that said that t cell immunity is boosted is right.

My understanding is that the early research on mRMA vaccines in general indicated ability to stimulate T cells as well as B cells. The extent that this occurs with any of the mRNA Covid vaccines has yet to be determined, although I believe it is being studied.
