My paperwork from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society said to wait 3-5 weeks after the booster before having the blood work done for their study.

I appreciate your question since I just got the 3rd dose and wondered the same thing.

FDA says antibody testing is not useful, recommends not having antibody test. Check this link.fda.gov/medical-devices/saf...

DanBro1, thanks for sharing this link. Today I read an article on Bloomberg explaining that antibodies are not the only line of defense. There are memory cells in our immune system that are generated after vaccinations that will maintain our protection for a while. The issue is, as always, for people like us with CLL we never know how much protection vaccines will generate and how long they will last. So, my approach is going to be to get the booster shot after 9 months of my 2nd shot, and I don’t plant to worry too much about measuring the antibodies level… ✌️

If I waited 9 months after my 2nd dose I would not be looking at a booster but next year's annual round of Covid vaccines. So that wouldn't work many of us.

I had my 2nd at the end of February, and I already have an appointment with my Doc in early November, so I decided to wait until I talk to him. A little more data won’t hurt either… Also, I live in a low infection area
