This is day four and I hope I can actually get back to my normal routine. My lymph nodes in my armpit swelled to 90 mm. In my second shot I had a similar, but milder reaction. I know I shouldn't compare, but my mother had her booster at the same time and was excited to go shopping. I ended up in bed for the better part of three days.
Has anyone had a similar reaction?

I had a similar reaction after my second Moderna as you and now I am debating about the booster. Did your armpit node ever recover to normal? Mine has remained (from 9cm down to 2 cm) even 6.5 months after my second Moderna.
I experienced an 8cm pit node after my 2nd Pfizer. Mine also didn't return to normal. I was told to wait for various lengths of time (between 4 to 8 weeks). 4 months later, I was informed by the hematologist "That would suggest you have a nice response to the vaccine. Expect the nodes to resolve over the next few days." I asked what would reduce the swelling in a few days after several months. I never received an answer. I didn't have any tests afterward. My next appt with PCP is next week. I have to wait until Dec to see the HemaDoc.
Do you know what did your blood counts do after the first two vaccines? Did you see any rise in the alc? Did the swollen node shrink back to its previous size? Do you know what was your ALC before the booster shot? Are you planning to have a CBC anytime soon?
I've only had the antibody test which revealed no antibodies. I guess I better schedule a CBC with the Primary. My node never returned to it's previous size.
Hope you'll recover soon from this booster trouble.
I had the Pfizer booster last Wednesday (Aug. 18). Noticed some swelling on the lymph node in the left armpit. Also some swelling around the jab on the left arm and joint/muscle pain around the left knee. Back to normal walking in 2 days while the swelling is subsiding now.
Sadly us CLL folks will be a statistic of a rushed vaccine😔! Just the 2 shots took me from w&w to treatment. I will get a flu shot this fall, but to heck with the booster! I wear a mask everywhere anyway because my state is only 47% vaccinated. Hope you feel better! 🤞
I reckon that there's about a 5% chance of needing treatment within 6 months of having a COVID-19 vaccination, or any other event for that matter. Correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation. Please ask your specialist at M D Anderson if they have noticed an increase in unanticipated treatment commencements after COVID vaccinations.
