I have been on Calquence since January 2021, and have recently gotten muscle aches and very fatigued. Has anyone experienced this?

An since Ibrutinib/Imbruvica has a similar active ingredient, the side effect profiles are similar.

I started on Alcalabrutinib the same time as you. For the first 2 months it was brilliant…no aches and pains. But it then started to follow the same route as Ibrutinib so consultant halved the dosage and I had much less stiffness. He says he may need to increase it back but so far no return of SLL so we shall see. I measure success if I can walk 18 holes of golf easily….I do occasionally but my scoring adjusts accordingly!
I have been on calquence for about six months now, was on Imbruvica for about two years until I developed Afib . The first three months on Calquence I experienced headaches now I have extreme fatigue and can barely get out of bed. Went to urgent care yesterday thinking I might have COVID, all tests were negative don’t know what to make out of it other than side effects from Calquence I hope this subsides I feel miserable.
Hi..unfortunately yes I’ve experienced both and am now on another med. Good luck
I have been off Calquence 3 weeks and still have muscle weakness. How long does it take to get Calquence out of body?
The half life of Calquence/acalabrutinib is only several hours, which is why it is prescribed twice daily, 12 hours apart. However, I can attest to the fact that it can take a few months to see some side effects disappear. That can in part be due to side effects from prophylactic drugs (antibiotics and or antivirals) that may be prescribed for a while after you stop taking Calquence. It can take a while for your bone marrow to recover and boost lymphocyte production sufficiently, more so if you were on venetoclax, which can destroy some T cells.

I had muscle pain early on along with headaches, that responded to coffee. Talk to your provider.
Sorry can’t answer that.. I got the “everyone’s different “ reply each time I asked about any medHope someone can help you! Best
