My husband is interested in possibly joining a CLL support group, for patients - anyone have one they like? I think it could be good for him to be able to talk with those going through the same, share experiences…and not feel like he’s alone in this. Thanks, everyone.

This is a support group for patients Oaktown. Do you mean a group that meets in person? If so you’d need to restrict your post to the community and indicate your area.

There is a zoom group that meets every Saturday for the past year+ at 2:00 EST. I have to look for the link. Perfect place to share experiences, ask questions, feel comfort & meet people that understand. 🥰

That would be great. I know this is considered a support group, but I also think a smaller meeting group would be good.

Have a group in Dublin but we now just keep in contact via WhatsApp because of Pandemic . If there is not one near where you live , he might like to start one . Does he belong to this group ? I’ve found it very helpful as there is always someone with shared experiences no matter how bizarre your enquiry might be .

I facilitate the one in New York City, but we have attendees from all over the USA, and even one regular member from London, UK We meet the 2nd Sunday of each month, so we met on Aug 9 (last Sunday) and our next meeting will be on Sept 12.

We typically have 12 -15 attendees, the LA group often gets 40 attendees.

Joining a CLL support group is one of the smartest things you can do. I love the groups I attend. CLL Society has 39 local CLL specific patient and caregiver groups in the US and Canada that all meet virtually now. I like this one! If it weren't for this group I might not know that the vaccine was not effective. I never would have learned about the LLS study or gotten an antibody test. I love this group!
