There must be Cll'ers in Maryland, who are vaccinated and got Covid

Yes. The article speaks to deaths in June and does not say no fully vaccinated got the virus last month--so some 5% of new COVID 19 cases must have been vaccinated.
“June 2021 data: 100% of COVID-19 deaths in Maryland occurred in people who were unvaccinated,” tweeted Michael Ricci, communications director for Gov. Larry Hogan (R).
Ricci also said that 95 percent of new COVID-19 cases were in unvaccinated people and 93 percent of new coronavirus hospitalizations consisted of individuals who have not received the vaccine.
With U.S. being told no masks required over a month ago, the entire country has had a lot of crowd gatherings inside and out. While UK is getting to that point just now, it is a good thing to look at what has and most likely will happen here. We have not had a lot of help from media or otherwise in regard to the notifying immunocompromised of their situation even after vaccination.
People who are knowledgeable as to the meaning of being immunocompromised must and will continue to have to fend for themselves. I, and others I know who are immunocompromised are still masking when going into a public place and not going to crowded indoor places. I have not eaten in a restaurant during COVID-19 and do not expect to be able to do so until there is more evidence that we are all safe.
There is all sorts of levels of CLL. There's CLLers who were just dxed and still have good immune systems that will produce antibodies when given the vaccine, then there are CLLers like me who have had CLL for 20 yrs and who have been treated with Venetoclax which removed almost all their B cells and couldn't produce antibodies no matter how many shots they were given. Then there's everyone in between.
So you have to know where you fit on your CLL journey to know if this statement applies to you.
My son-in-law just sent me an article about research being conducted that addresses T cell response. It was very promising!
Thank you for pointing this out! I'm just back from a reunion with a son we hadn't seen since 12/2019. We spent 4 days with our vaccinated adult kids, indoors, no masks. Now I'm waiting 10-14 days to see if I've possibly made a fatal mistake. I'll keep reminding myself of this Maryland fact! When in public I wear an N-95 with a cloth filtered mask over it. I'm in the US and hardly anybody wears a mask inside or out. I'm staying out of public as much as possible.
