Update: New Total Ab #

louie48 profile image
9 Replies

I posted earlier about my LLS/LabCorp antibodies test results showing my Total Ab # 1837. At the time I was puzzled by the high # but since have seen other posts with high #s (not many). My 1837 # was post Covid-19 (1/12/21) and post Regeneron infusion (1/12/21). I received the J&J vaccination 5/5/21. My new Total Ab # is >2500. My CLL condition is currently symptom free after BR 10/16 to 2/17. No Cat-T therapies. I don't know what all this means, but I wanted to keep the community informed as well as CLL professionals, God bless all CLLers.

Thank you for the clarifications. It important to know that you had the virus and were treated with antibodies when we compare those test numbers--it is apples to oranges for the most part even without the added antibodies, because we are all different in our levels of immunity.

Congratulations on a full house: three sources of antibodies and two tests.

Louie48So, I'm guessing the numbers you are posting are antibody (AB)? If that is right ,,, Then I am confused about the Numbers???

Don't the LLSociety numbers top out at 250 in the USA? Did you get your antibody test somewhere else?

Info on my shots etc.

My first LLSociety spike test returned 250

The second came back 150 and I suspect it will contuine down.

I think the first test (and the second) was effect by having IVIG close to the vacinations and tests. So, I'm assuming no protection from the shots and keeping up masking etc..

Stay safe all

Michael

Michael, Starting May 8th, LabCorp uses 2500 as its maximum response. ciitizen.com/llscovidstudyr...

Thanks HopeRose, I read >250 max on the LLS website and that's where a lot of the confusion came from. I understand the Regeneron is a whole lot of non-specific antibodies, but I hope the push from 1837 to >2500 after the J&J shot will be Covid related antibodies. Is that how you guys at Citizen see it ?

Interesting ........ than my numbers are really not so good because this is what lab corp reported on May 20SARS-CoV-2 Semi-Quant Total Ab

SARS-CoV-2 Semi-Quant Total Ab

150.7

Reference Range: <0.8 U/mL

Antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein receptor binding

note 150.7 not 1507

Anyway my understanding is that these are presently just numbers and the even the experts don't yet know what they mean,,??

For ME ,,,, until and reguardless of Vax I'm sticking with masking etc. better safe than sorry and I don't see a down side to masking, washing etc.

I know that does not work for everyone and that's OK

Take care all.........
