CAR-T Comic Book: Sometimes you need to have a simple overview, and a little lighthearted story to share with family and friends.
Thanks for this. It is my favorite therapeutic subject because I think it offers a lot of hope as they continue its development. I really think that when medical scientists solve the T-cell engineering issues that remain and if they find targets that lead to better outcomes than CD19 (hoping this will be MR1), I am steadfastly optimistic that this approach is going to transform our outlook perhaps one day even becoming front line therapy. I found this recent article (see link) which is wonky but if one at a minimum just becomes aware of the the categories of engineering issues that are being tackled, it will help to recognize progress as it occurs. The goal really is to have a stellar outcome for everyone; right now some enjoy durable complete remissions after having failed other therapies while others have lesser though often still welcome results.
