Everything seems stable no spleen or liver involvement. Multiple enlarged lymph nodes but only mildly larger. I am so mad I didn’t ask the oncologist if a high WBC (60,000) causes worse side effects effects from the vaccine. I go for my first dose tomorrow. Feeling well!!!

Update on CT Scan
There has been no research referring to side effects and WBC that I know of. Everyone is different and reacts differently anyway. I heard from just sore arm to flu like symptoms. I had just sore arm from first dose of Pfizer. I get my second shot next week. I am in remission 2+ years. It's better to not have asked cuz it could stress you out. 🙏💕
Had first shot a week ago.... wish I had a better reaction! Would have liked more responsemodern. Just had a slightly sore arm. Problem for me is didn’t work. My wbc is 225 thousand. Not treated yet.
Hi Wendy328,(I'm not medically trained but) I suspect- from comments posted by several CLL Experts that I follow closely- including Dr. Brian Koffman, Dr. Furman, & Dr. Mato, that they would say they just do not know. Here is an excellent summary by Dr. Koffman cllsociety.org/wp-content/u...

But if we CLL patients get exposed to COVID-19 before we develop antibodies from a vaccination, the alternative would be what Dr. Furman of Weill Cornell NY Presbyterian recently shared about getting priority outpatient treatment to prevent a serious case of COVID-19: “It only takes two days and is indicated for patients with symptoms that do not require hospitalization. We are currently using Bamlanivimab for outpatients and Remdisivir, dexamethasone, and convalescent plasma for inpatients."
