Drug Costs $$$

It's that time of year again in the USA. Choose a Medicare plan, etc. I'm 72 and satisfied with my supplemental insurance and drug plan. I did BR late 2016 to Feb. 2017. I read about all these fab pills these days and was just wondering what I can expect down the road as far as costs; should I relapse?

imbruvica 11,000 a YEAR . venclexta about 10,000 a year. both together about 19,000 a year. there are ways to get co-pay assistance.. it is income based. don't relapse

That’s still crazy a lot of people don’t make that much in income. I would hope people that can’t afford it get major assistance.

I was looking at the part D your responsibility is 33% of the cost that’s like 50,000 each year for Ibrutinib out of pocket. Unless I’m not understanding the tier 5 class drugs.

i get ibrutinib-before i got assistance it was 11,000 a year, I also take venclexta-it's about 10,000 a year. I think your misunderstanding the percentages when you hit the catastrophe part- that is only 5 percent-but there us no cap kff.org/medicare/issue-brie....

Yes if you don’t make a lot of money in your retirement you can ask for assistance.

And, if you were ever in the military, sign up ASAP for VA Healthcare.
