Jackie- What the newsletter says about shielding not now being advised seems to me a bit misleading. Shielding for the extremely vulnerable has been reinstated, but in a less restrictive form than previously. In the Gov.uk "Guidance on shielding and protecting people who are extremely clinically vulnerable" (issued 4 November) it says "These new shielding measures will apply for 4 weeks up to 2 December..."

I note also that the Government advice to the extremely vulnerable is not to collect medication from pharmacies, but there is no mention of this in the Newsletter.

Thanks for this Antony, I can feed this back to the CLL Support charity. It will probably be updated now that there is more clarity.

Hi orstin. Thanks for your comment, and you are correct. The initial advice from the government said that shielding was not being reinstated, and we ran with that. However, this was subsequently changed the following day. We have now updated our website and newsletter accordingly. Our fault for trying to get the information out quickly!
