VA and disability for CLL

I was on 100% disability for 2 years for agent orange exposure in Vietnam. I have been on watch and wait for over 6 years with CLL. The VA recently reduced my disability rating to 0% because I am on watch and wait, not being treated, and therefore not disabled. Go figure.

Stevevolo just posted his positive experience a few days ago in similar situation. He may be able to guide you to helpful information.

Best wishs to you and thank you very much for your service to our nation. Mary

Stevevolo’s post was why I made my post. The VA is not consistent. Beware.

Did you have a medical exam?

Yes I have had medical exams. Lymphocytes about 45. Not mutated.

I was placed in the VA health system in 1915 for the only reason being I lived at Camp Lejeune when they had carcinogens in the drinking water

. The next year I was diagnosed with CLL by my private practice doctor and started chemo. I applied for disability with the VA and their doc agreed with the diagnosis. I am 100% disabled with the VA even though I'm not being treated by the VA. I am on Imbruvica with no other treatments, so still on disability.

1915? That makes you about 125 years old? You might need to fix that 🤣

Ha. I put down my "feel like" age by accident.

I have been receiving 100% P & T disability. I was diagnosed in 2015 and have been on Ibruninib since nov. 2019. I am shocked by this. How can 100% Permanent & Total disability not be permanent?
