Not that we CLLers really need one but I thought this was clever.

Jackie, just about to go into the garden 😊

Very clever Jackie.

Marc I wish I could find something to put in my garden. Every time I look at a website it’s either 3 weeks delivery or out of stock. So those not in the garden are in the kitchen baking bread !

We had a yeast shortage here!

I was happy to make brown Irish soda bread that doesn’t need yeast, but no ingredients available. If you haven’t tried it is so easy and quick. I used to make it all the time. Will have to go back to it one day 🤞

My Aunt Molly used to make it and I remember a year when I was a teen that she couldn't get raisins!

Virginia,

It’s a very versatile bread with so many versions. I do a mix of white and brown flour and there is a famous Irish chef that adds treacle to his !

One of the positives about this lockdown is I am being far more inventive with my cooking, and eating a lot more vegetables. A stir fry is such an easy way to use up bits and pieces and the soups as well.

Take care, and don't forget your hat when out in the sun.

Best wishes,

Ernest

Good point Ernest! Hat, cover up. Sun block etc...

Many of us going to be in our gardens a lot more.

I am, having decided my garden is safer than my bed!

love it!

Enjoy your garden Jackie. We have crazy weather still here and there was snowing yesterday. Gone now, sunny day with only 4C.

Can’t wait for the warm weather and be able to work in the garden.
