Hi everyone I’ve been to New Orleans for a holiday every pub restaurant closed and McDonald’s etc left 3 days early to make sure we got back to U.K. thankfully I am feeling great hope this applies to all our members

Hi went to have bloods today I happened to cough twice and cos of my holiday I can’t go back in to ward to get tablets they will bring them out just being cautious in this scary time stay safe but should be ok next month

I guess they have to be extra cautious at the moment! I've been ramped up to 400mg so I don't have to go in until mid April. I have a blood test next week. They have given me extra meds just incase they can't see me! Stay safe🙏

New Orleans is my home town and a wonderful city to visit with great food and restaurants. It appears to be hard hit by covid, which is probably related to Mardi Gras with a million people in town from all over the world.

The fact Mardi Gras went on as planned, and that I attended it, shows how woefully uninformed our federal and state government and I were about the dangers of covid. Uninformed might not be the best choice of words. As it turns out, some scientists were ringing the bell hard, but it fell on deaf ears.

I am sorry your visit got cut short. We had a young couple from the UK visit us at our place in New Orleans just two weeks ago and we went out everywhere with them. A week later police were disbursing crowds on Bourbon street. Two weeks removed from strolling through the French Quarter with our guests, I am quarantined in my house for god knows how long.

Its like the song from Hamilton. the world turned upside down in a matter of a few weeks. I know mine has.

U.K. has just closed its bars, clubs, cafes, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and gyms etc.from tonight. Shops remain open and take aways. It’s a necessary move at the moment but we have lots of visitors here presently suddenly kicking their heels especially in the Capital.

I think for whatever reason the Chinese were much smarter than us. The US and Europe moved too slow. I can see why, these measures are so drastic and would have been so unpopular. I imagine you have a large contingent in the UK who still sees these measures as over reactionary. We do here.

It was the images from Italy, I believe, that hit home. People see China as far away or undeveloped and that what happened there could not happen here. Italy strikes closer to home.

I know its easier in China to take drastic measures because of its authoritarian rule. No matter how you spin it though, it appears the virus is under control there in a country of 1.5 billion people and running rampant in the west.

The Chinese and South Korean leaders were smarter than all of ours. I don't see that as a political take, more as a fact.

Unfortunately the Chinese did not do the one thing which would have benefited the rest of the world, stop all travel and shipments to and from China. We should have also stopped all international travel and shipments.

What a time to be travelling! At least you squeezed a holiday in just in the nick of time. I had a trip to Cornwall booked for April to celebrate end of FCR, not sure when that will happen now. Great your still feeling good, stay that way 🙂

Hi doing ok N O is a great place to go to if you like a drink and music it’s everywhere hope your good at least we haven’t lost for a while I had planned to watch games in a spurs bar but never mind COYS
