I've had both a sub cutaneous skin infection (male intimate part) and sore lymph nodes in several areas at different times since my CLL diagnosis.

-

It took careful examination by a dermatologist to sort out the difference. ( I usually must wait a few weeks to get even an "urgent" appointment with any dermatologist).

-

I hope the doctor that suggested a skin infection has prescribed an oral antibiotic while you wait for an appointment to see a dermatologist.

-

I had to take 3 weeks of antibiotics (BactrimDS - (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim)) before mine started to resolve.

Caz123456, do you have a diagnosis of CLL?

The skin infection should be rooted out. I get mild/moderate pain with the lymph nodes in the groin. They are not large. I rub castor oil in the area and 95% of the time it takes all the pain away in minutes
