Flavored water
Can’t see any reason why not. I certainly do but tend to avoid those with grapefruit and orange flavours in case they contain actual fruit extract. I know we can’t have starfruit either but I’ve never seen those flavours in the bottled water. I like the peach or lemon and lime flavoured waters.

Been drinking Splash a lot lately. Nobody likes it but me.
I also make my version of an “Arnold Palmer”. 2/3 unsweetened tea and 1/3 lemonade.
It is really refreshing. You can even make it with green tea
I have a Q about TEA and Coffee, I have been told not to count Caffeinated drink ,,,,as part of hydrating ???? Do you know if this is true or not????
Hope you (and everyone) are doing well
michael
That is incorrect. Tea and coffee are nearly all water, so add to your fluid balance.

Thanks. Learned something new today (doesn't take much to do that :-)):
"Drinking caffeine-containing beverages as part of a normal lifestyle doesn't cause fluid loss in excess of the volume ingested. While caffeinated drinks may have a mild diuretic effect — meaning that they may cause the need to urinate — they don't appear to increase the risk of dehydration."

Exactly! Thanks for finding the reference. I thought that idea was bunkum when I first heard it over 20 years ago, particularly when told you had to drink extra to make up for the diuretic effect of caffeine drinks. That was supposedly good health advice for anyone. Actually, I think that you could argue that when taking medications that required greater fluid elimination rates, drinking anything with a diuretic effect, provided it didn't further stress your liver and kidneys would be desirable!
My oncologist told me the exact same thing. Not to count caffeinated drinks as part of my intake. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
My oncologist and the clinic pharmacist also told me to I needed to drink more to counteract caffeinated drinks, but this was just before starting Ibrutinib, Maybe it was specific to this drug. Who knows. Like John, I do Arnold Palmers, but do 1/3 plain water, 1/3 decaf tea and 1/3 lemonade. I too hate plain water. I do a lot of “mixed” drinks. Anything I drink, I water down to get more water in.
You could change to 2/3 lemonade and 1/3 unsweetened tea. It’s very tasty and light on sugar. You could make the lemonade with less sugar.
Some people hate drinking just plain water. This gets them to drink something at least. I have to drink a half gallon of water a day. It’s hard sometimes I feel like I am being “water boarded”.
I am sure some on here would like to “water board” me like VladXO because I love USA🇺🇸so much. I try not to criticize my own country especially on a global site like this.
But we call that an “Arnold Palmer” after a great American golfer.
Try it you will like it. Lol!!!
- CLLUSA 🇺🇸 should be my handle.
I love my America🇺🇸too. I also drink Arnold Palmers. I am not a big lover of plain water but I do drink too much caffeine. It comes from my days of teaching in the public schools and having early hours and long days. I retired two years ago and I am trying to break the caffeine habit - at least laying off of so many caffeinated diet sodas.
Yes it is good to spruse things up a bit. You can also get a big picture fill it with water and fruit, or cucumber (which was my favorite). Or add a couple of cans to some fruit.
Another comment, I just have to add....I am seeing a neurologist that specializes in headache as I am having some strange ones. Anyway, he wants me to stop drinking anything except for water...plain water, no lemon, no lime, no cucumber, no juices, no decafs, nothing but water. I told him that treating the CLL was more important right now, and that I had to drink 80 oz of liquid a day, or the drugs would play havoc and that I could not do that with plain water since I am not a big water fan. Plain water was not going to do it! Don’t think he liked that but sometimes something has to give!
Sorry to hijack the post! Doctors are not always right!

I have not been told to drink 80 oz of water a day which would be hard for me..just not that thirsty but I do drink ice water and Sparkling Ice drinks...0 calories, 0 sugar, etc.
