Hi All..I’ve been taking Imbrutinib for about eight weeks now with good results although still a lot of room for more improvement.
Has anyone developed any heart rhythm problems that they can trace back to showing that Imbrutinib was either the complete or partisl source of the problem?
I had a very short bought of Afib late last week and Imbrutinib is the only change I’ve made in my treatment regiment.
I do have CAD but all arteries and lungs clear of any problems.
Thanks in advance for any comments that can help me.
Best,
Triguy

I had similar symptoms after going on Ibrutinib. Was fitted with a Halter Monitor” for a couple of days. Mine turned out to be PVCs, (Premature Ventricular Contractions) that were exacerbated by the Ibrutinib, but it was not true AFIB. But since Ibrutinib is noted to cause AFIB, you need to see your doctor so it can be confirmed or ruled out.
Please report to your medics who will monitor your situation.
Do not ignore as AFib can be dangerous and increases the chance of strokes if not monitored or kept under control.
It is a common situation with ibrutinib that those who suffer AFib of a serious nature statistically are removed from the treatment. However, this does depend on the seriousness of the attacks and their frequency. Which is why at this early stage you should be reporting the side effect to your medics.
