I am a 59 year old male and was diagnosed with CLL in July of 2016 and have been experienced Major mood swings lately that I had never had in the past.
Anyone else have similar mood swings ?
I am on watch and wait and doing ivig every 8 weeks along with Testosterone pellets to increase my testosterone levels
Sorry to hear you up and down. It is easy to blame everything on CLL, but the truth is we still get ailments non-CLL related?
I assume your IVIG and testosterone pills are for things non-CLL-related: are they prescribed? I think you should get yourself back to your GP and let them know of your swings. No shame in doing this and they might have an answer!
It is possible its a medical issue and you should get advice from your doctor , however don’t rule out that it could be a sign of depression which is something that is very common after diagnosis. I myself have had some struggles with this which can creep up on you and catch you completely unaware which accounts for the feeling that its a mood swing. My experience of it was everything absolutely fine then for literally no reason an overbearing feeling of real anger.
I'm 53,and not on IVIG or Testosterone, I also am on CLL treatment with Imbruvica for the past 12 months, I have been diagnosed with depression AND Type-2 Bipolar, my mood swings are all over the place, have your PCP make you an appointment to be checked for Bipolar and/or Depression
