High Dose Ozone as a treatment

Hi ALL

I've recently been diagnosed and am stage O so just researching ways to boot the immune system which has to be a good thing to slowing down the progress of this disease. High Dose Ozone therapy does this but I can't find any anecdotal accounts of anyone is our group who has anything to say about this. If there is any expereince or knowledge out there can you please share.

Thank you.

There is no credible, peer reviewed evidence to support the use of ozone as a type of medical therapy. See this previous post for details: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

Congratulations! But what have you proved? Section 5 of the latest iWCLL CLL Guidelines describes in 3 pages of over 1,200 words, the evidence required to show that a given treatment has provided a partial or complete response.

You can read section 5 of the iWCLL CLL Guidelines to see how you went, after which a report in a bit more detail than 5 words would be welcome. A brief outline of how you went against the 7 considerations used to assess the total tumour burden per parts A (the lymphoid tumor load) and B (the haematopoietic system) would be very interesting to hear. See: ashpublications.org/blood/a...

My CLL journey started nearly 11 years ago with the SLL form, where the tumor load is in the nodes, spleen and bone marrow, not in the blood and I was diagnosed at stage 4. Just 2 weeks ago, my specialist commented after examining me that my nodes were good (in fact they've not noticeably changed in 11 years) and I've never had high dose ozone therapy. This is the challenge with CLL/SLL, it's so heterogeneous in expression and degree of change over time, which makes it very difficult to work out whether anything you try makes a difference. That's why you actually need a statistically sufficient number of people on a trial in two arms for assessment, a treatment and a comparison arm, to provide a reasonable degree of certainty that any changes are due to more than chance.

Hi gymbunny I was curious about your short response .

How did you measure the efficacy of the Treatment ? Did you have a blood test afterwards to measure your LKC?

Yet you still haven't been prepared to share your actual blood test results...

Update: I note that within a year you had started on ibrutinib healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

So ozone injections did not work for you - just as I stated to you in the first reply to your post. "There is no credible, peer reviewed evidence to support the use of ozone as a type of medical therapy."
