My aunt is on her fourth dose of ibrutinib. Her white count went from 33000 to 114000. She was told that this could be a normal side effect and that it will eventually go back down. Has anybody else had this experience?

Ibrutinib and increased white count
Yes it’s quite normal Marisa as the nodes and spleen release the cells into the peripheral blood increasing the WBC.
It should settle nicely in time so no need for concern.
Best wishes,

Yes, I was put on Imbruvica in January of this year and my WBC went from 79,000 to 269,000 and now down to 69,000....And I expect it to continue downward.

Normal because the CLL cells are being flushed out of the lymph nodes and spleen , marrow etc
Ibrunitib causes CLL cells to leave the Organs but teh Rise should only be temporary
thats what people say, it goes up, but I have been on it for 5 weeks now, and nothing has changed but my neutrophils. They were 3 and are now 7. My WBC was running between 293,000 and 343,000. I think the 343,000 was from a tooth I needed pulled, but WBC is not changing and neither is ALC, My first Dr. appt isn't until 2 more weeks in April, so I hope it is working.
