My mom has not been loosing weight but as she is diabetic she has stopped eating sugar completely. Her hands have become thin! Is it normal or is their any problem?

She would have to ask her doctor whether she had a bit of edema (fluid retention) that has resolved. Are her ankles also thinner? I have never heard of a sugar to edema connection. Others here might have, but there are many causes for fluid retention. One other possibility is that she is dehydrated. It would be worth her checking with her doctor
