17p-: 20 (9,52%)

This is from google translate, but appears to be a pretty good translation. I speak some Spanish, but medical terminology isn't my speciality. I hope someone like AussieNeil can explain this.

counted with abnormal signal pattern (1 signal vs. 2

signals) on normal individuals.

Note: The cutoff value (20%) assigned to the P53 gene in the

Last report on LLC issued by the Argentine Society

of Hematology does not refer to technical data but clinical.

Results:

Normal Cells: 190 (90.48%)

17p-: 20 (9.52%)

Total Cells: 210

Cut-off value: 8.6% (Bloodd, Vol 92, 1998: pp802-809)

Conclusion:

Based on the cut values quoted:

The values of the 17p13 region are altered. He

percentage of abnormal cells for the 17p13 region in the

Patient sample (9.52%) is slightly higher than the

normal cut-off value (8.6%).

One more try! LOL!

Hi Anton,

Given you now have a higher presence of altered TP53 and you have unmutated IgVH (from your previous post), I expect that this is a further indication that Ibrutinib would be your preferred treatment option. While the percentage of cells is not high, treatment with a chemo based treatment will only selectively leave this subclone to become more dominant and I would think, put you at a higher risk of a short remission time on a chemo based treatment. Please note that I am not medically trained and this test result and my thoughts on it should be discussed with your specialist.

Thanks to MsLockYourPosts for translating.
