Ginger and turmeric are from the same botanical family, but interestingly, ginger is better known for helping with nausea and turmeric has shown potential to kill CLL cells in the test tube, but not in human trials. Read this post for more information: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

Hi maddog, i went through the shock of my life when i got diagnosed to the point that i couldn't sleep for Months with allot of anxiety and depression. I still get sad and cry but not as often, (i take tumeric and vitamin d everyday)
I was diagnosed in 2010 and these alternative things like turmeric is ALL that I have done. I do get a good amount of sunshine (natural Vit D) when I work in my garden daily. I think putting my hands in the dirt have helped me invaluably!
Hi mad dog, I was diagnosed some 8 months ago and I am very much in the early stages of my learning. In fact I'm learning lots from this forum. I am on watch and wait too. Before I was diagnosed I was feeling very tired and was constantly getting coughs and colds. When I found out about my diagnosis, I went to see a nutritionist who has a special interest in oncolgy. She looks at my blood results and advises vitamin and mineral supplements accordingly. She also scrutinised my diet and I have made substantial changes in that area. She advised a raw food diet as much as possible, keeping an eye to eat enough protein, diet should be 'clean'.I juice daily, have reduced all refined sugars and natural sugars, limit carbs. If she had her way it would be no carbs but I have to be realistic! I put fresh ginger and turmeric in my juice. I have been told to exercise until I sweat...this bit I do find hard and need to get on top of it.
Now, if any of this helps I do not know, but a good diet and exercise can do no harm! What I do know is that I haven't been ill since I started. Although my lymph nodes do swell a lot and cause me worry. My bloods are stable, but likeI said, it's early days.
