white counts going up

Has anyone experienced their counts going up after changing from the Imbruvica capsule to the new tablet they are now making, they say is the same amount of milligrams, 140mg each tablet, same as the capsule. However, since taking the tablet I have had nothing but my counts going up. been on tablet since May of this year. The tablet is made in China and that worries me! The tech that draws my blood tells me she has many stories about medication made in China. I thank all of you for your excellent advice! God Bless!

Hi Marie, are you in USA? I'm not sure what the reporting mechanism is for drug issues in the states but perhaps your Dr should raise the issue with Janssen.

Cllcanada is right, it's important this is investigated and sorted out asap.

Please let us know what happens.

Hi Marie, I'm experiencing the exact same thing. My white blood cell counts were doing very well with the old formula of Imbruvica but since I started to take the new pills my white blood cell counts are going up. I asked my doctor if the new pills could be causing the increase in white blood cell count and he emphatically said no. Even though I don't think he knows one way or the other. Let us know if you find out anything in regards to this issue. God bless.

Not what you're looking for?
