I highly recommend Dr. Jeff Matous. He is wonderful; very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and spends a lot of time with his patients. I recently saw Dr Gregory, and would also recommend her as well.

I live in Denver and see Dr. Kamdar, a CLL specialist, at the University of Colorado Anchutz. She's seeing over 100 CLL patients and conducting several CLL drug trials. I use to travel to Duke to see a CLL specialist but found Kamdar to be just as good and more personable than my Duke specialist. I also participate in Denver's CLL support group and a number of participants see her as well. I just started treatment and she was able to convince my insurance company to approve Acalabrutinib. I have an appointment with her today to get my first labs since starting the drug last week. My swollen lymph nodes have almost disappeared after just 7 days! I live in Denver. It is my understanding Dr. Matous is no longer taking CLL patients. I treat with Dr. Kamdar at UCH as well. Dr. Schuster at UC Health Cancer Center in Ft. Collins sees CLL patients. The CLL Society Support Group group meets monthly in Denver. Information is on the site - it would be great to have you join us.

Dr. Schuster is my doc as well. I have been seeing him for 2+ years now and he is so amazing. He isn’t afraid to reach out to the Anchutz docs and ask questions and will recommend a second opinion before big decisions. He really is the best I could have ever asked for.
