Platelet count
Low platelets are quite common in CLL, if you have that diagnosis.
A normal platelet count ranges from 150,000 to 450,000 platelets per microliter of blood, so your count is slighty low, but not critically so.
Yours is 126,000/ml
Something to discuss with your hemetologist perhaps...
My understanding is that there is no simple idea of normal. Each of us is unique and CLL is ‘tailoured’ accordingly. In my case, I have to watch rapid changes either increases or decreases in numbers. So over 16 months my haemoglobin had dropped from 300 to 90. I expected worse again and a slide towards second phase treatment beyond IVIG but my haemoglobin has risen to 128 & hence no needat present for bone marrow biopsy since it doesn’t appear to be ‘crowding’ anymore.
Do you have CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia) bnnitya or is this just a general health enquiry?
The reason platelets drop low in people with CLL may bear no relation to your situation if you don’t have this diagnosis so please seek medical advice as Cllanada suggests.
Best wishes,

Hi, technically 126 is not “ normal”. However, I’d kill for 126! I’ve only broken through the 100 barrier 3 times in the last 20 blood tests. The important thing is the trend as these numbers bounce up and down all the time.
It’s important to note that there’s no suggestion bnnitya actually has CLL so it could be that any helpful comments relating to thrombocytopenia in CLL will not be relevant to her situation.

My levels have gone from 130 to 60, as I have finished my treatment they should be going up,
Had no problems when on low levels
