I'M having 178,000 platelet count. Is this normal or what? Am i safe?

A low platelet count is below 150,000. But bleeding problems tend to occur when the count drops to 50,000 or less...

Yes as said before low counts are usually when the count falls below 150.

Mine has and is still around 100 (actually 98)

With no problems.

I just had my CBC with diff and my platelet count is 171,000. Doc said all is good!

I've been running at 95 for last 12 months with no probem.

I wish my platelet count was that good!! it normally runs aound 130-140. I think it is your other levels that are more important, like red, white and lymphocyte.
