LeiLei: Clearly, it's important for any 'body' to have access to clean water. The evidence is clear in those parts of the world where clean water is simply unavailable, that morbidity and mortality rise to dramatic levels when the water contains bacteria, cysts, and heavy metals.

But unless you live in a Third World country where water does not receive pretreatment before being delivered to customers (and as it happens, I'm writing from one such location today) , then there really is no need for your drinking-water to be treated with home-based machinery costing from $100-$2100 so as to have the pH value 'adjusted.' In fact, among those for whom water purification and the delivery of safe potable water is their business + science (and I'm not now talking about a 'commission' or sales-business) it is common knowledge that municipal-delivered water is entirely safer than home-filtration and modification. I've written a post here previously about the risks associated with home filtration, for example.

The bottom line is ... Alkaline ionized water <probably> will do you no harm (except draining your wallet) but <could> introduce into your immune-compromised system germs because of bacteria-backup as well as the concentration of volatile, inorganic, and organic compounds.

It may seem an irony, but the water that comes from your tap/faucet is far safer than most waters that you can 'manufacture' through modification at the home level. Now this does not mean that if you have any concern about the quality of the water delivered to you by your municipal potable water system you should remain blind to the possibility that your drinking/cooking/consumption of water should be replaced by simple Springwater bought in bottles or large canisters. <<This is particularly the case if you are served by well water or by what is described to you as surface water systems (generally understood to mean water that has not filtered through at least 25-meters of surface overlay).>>

Your water <always> needs to be chlorine-activated .... but for goodness sake, do not start fortifying your water with a few extra teaspoons of bleach just because that while a little bit is necessary, therefore a lot must be definitely-necessary. Just like oxygen, a little bit is what you need but too much will do you harm.

It is entirely appropriate for anyone in an immune-compromised situation to be wanting to filter their food, their water experiences, exposures-to-others, etc., and in all ways 'keep safe company.' However, at the same time that you are alert to the need to be careful about what you expose yourself to, you should also maintain a skeptical eye and a conservative approach towards being sold the idea that 'natural' is always good. And, particularly that the removal of food-additives will reverse the CLL-demons.

Alkaline ionized water is nonsense. Repeat after me "Alkaline ionized water is nonsense!"

This topic interests me because many of the foods and drinks we consume are low pH, 3-5 such meats, coffee, and soft drinks. The pH of water is 7, neutral. The blood pH is 7.35 so the body must raise the pH and regulate it. I ask, how does the body raise our blood to a pH of 7.35? The only mineral in our body I can think is high pH is the calcium in our bones. So, is our bone being leeched and weakened to raise the pH of the foods we consume? And if we consumed high pH foods and/or water, wouldn’t that be better?

The reference from science based pharmacy in my first reply answers your question in detail :)
