I just happened on this site because I have had low 99-102 platlets for the past year. My dr had my spleen checked and it was fine. What does cll stand for. I just wanted to know if I can donate blood?

Just low platlets, no other symptoms
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a blood and bone marrow disease that usually gets worse slowly.
If you have CLL, you should NOT donate blood. CLL is a blood disease and you should not give blood.

Ask your doctor to determine the cause of your low platelets. Potential causes cover a wide range from genetics, food or drugs, an auto-immune disease, an enlarged spleen (hence your doctor checking this) or rarely a blood cancer. There's a simple blood test that can eliminate blood cancer as a factor.
It's great that you want to donate your blood, with members of this community at times reliant on blood donations to keep them alive.
It is most unlikely that you have CLL (and a high lymphocyte count is the usual cause of the investigation that leads to diagnosis, not a low platelet count), but should you end up being diagnosed with this chronic condition, you've found a community that will be there to support you.
