I'm at end of first week/4th cycle.
Don't eat meat but do eat dairy (butter/cheese). Hearing on here about FCR diet.
What is that please?
Get well everybody!

Can you reference posts where an "FCR diet" is specifically mentioned? I think you probably mean a neutropenic diet, which is required for any CLL treatment if your absolute neutrophil count drops to dangerous levels, a fairly common CLL treatment side effect.

Thanks so much for your reply, with the links. Yep, you're quite right, I did mean neutropenic diet.
Pure sloppiness .. thanks for correcting.
Very useful info., most of which (I'm happy to say) I'm already following although a couple of things to drop for the neutropenic period which my wife and I hadn't thought about like raw bean sprouts and other raw salad stuffs. Although always carefully washed, best not to risk.
Thanks again, and very best wishes to you.

As a man with a history of elevated PSA, I have omitted dairy due to studies showing a relationship with prostate cancer. Something to consider for men with CLL. I dodged a prostate biopsy recommendation after omitting dairy and coffee (UTI prevention) after flomax alone didn't get my PSA down. It dropped from 9+ to 4+ in 2 months which satisfied my urologist. Thanks 🙏🏻
