Hi Don
You want a hemaetologist, oncologists are solid tumor doctors, hemaetologist are blood cancer specialists and lymphomas.
I suggest you contact the French Website SILLC listed below, they will have the current information you need.

You need to explore the requirements for medical access in France, you may need a bridging insurance between your current coverage in the U.S. and the French healthcare system...

Bonjour
this link answer your question for Paris Area

For Pau it will be more difficult. If your LLC is basic any haematologic service wil fit. The French health system offer same "service" anywhere in the country.
As previously said you can use SiLL forum to have more answer about french medical system.
This official french site may help finding an hospital

Herve
I'm in the French health care system so:
1. Pau is the hub hospital with 9 satellite establishments around it, but Pau only has 85,000 population so medical expertise will be limited by number of consultants employed at the hospital. There may be one or two more than usual for that size of population as Pau has a university.
2. The way to access specialists is to go through your "medecin traitant", they give you a letter of referral and a secretary's phone number (maybe their receptionist will make the call for you if you wish). They then tell you when and where you have to go.
A number of specialists have consulting rooms that are external to the hospital, but in the vicinity. Keeping to their appointment schedule is a problem for some, so park somewhere oher than on a meter.
If you want to go private then your medecin traitant will give you all the details but it is likely that you will have to travel many miles as the cliniques in Pau do not seem to do "medecin interne"
I have only ever seen my consultant at my local hospital, for my regular dose of IvIG, and all treatment is in either a single or 2 person ward both with en suite facilities. Not sure which is best. Treatment has been the same but spread over a longer time frame e.g. 21/2 hour treatment in UK takes 4 hours and includes lunch.
I realise that this may not have been an answer you were seeking but CLL is rare, in general, and seems to be even rarer here. Longevity is the norm, especially as most people outside the major cities still observe the 2 hour lunch break.
