End of an Era (July 7, 2016)

Hi,

Today, in another personal blog post on bkoffman.blogspot.com , I share the news of the official end of my allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant story that started 8 years ago and ended with a rejected graft and a quick relapse.

I am officially now and probably have been for years 100% host cells. Not a trace of my generous donor blood cells coursing though my veins. I will be forever grateful for his gift.

It is the end of an era that started with such hope and was the genesis of my coming out about my CLL.

It is all a bit sad.

I'm sorry to hear that Brian. But it worked well for a while, and gave you hope and strength. Now other treatments beckon. Never give up!
