Partner had to go on chemo after suddenly going from stage a to stage c his platelets were 7 !!!!! Think there was too much waiting and not enough watching but anyway after only 2 cycles of treatment his bloods on Monday were brilliant his platelets were up to 95 we can't believe it very happy not bad going for a 77 year old

Thank you 😍

Sounds like watching and waiting have been perfect timing for your partner. Stay strong, Sally

Drops and rises in blood counts are notorious and unpredictable!

Sounds to me his med team were on the ball and did exactly the right thing for him.

What a great response too!

Here's wishing you both luck and a long remission.

His varied but because there'd been no change they left him for a year then when he went things had started to change his platelets were down and each time he went after that his platelets were dropping but he was then not tested for nearly 8 months and when he was his platelets were virtually nil and he was severely aneamic because something else had dropped that's when he was referred for chemo please don't anyone think I'm knocking the doctors I'm not I think they are wonderful I just thought 8 months was a long time to be left when his platelets were clearly dropping but as I said the doctors nurses and everyone looking after him can not be praised enough
