I found mention of this on BBC news feed yesterday. I think it is worth a read, however, as ever there have been some questions raised over the stats. I guess everyone makes their own decision. The second map some non-health stats as well.
WELL THE FOLLOWING IS MY REPLY TO THE STATS OFFICE! Sorry Rob I know its nothing to do with CLL - I do have MDS though and going for a 3rd body organ scan in 2 mths, 2 days from now - all here in France. I'm a retired ex-pat who has also here had a brain injury march 2013 and car accident nov - so as a Health Unlocked/Headway member feel quite justified in the reply I sent to Stats office. They seemed to cover most other Health conditions! France treats me and reclaims from UK!
" You don't even consider brain injury and its effects - no matter how or where geographically in England/Wales the injury occurred - be-it spontaneous/physical - whether immediate or long term - and almost all effects of a brain injury manifest more slowly over the longer term - and can also be the cause of much needed ongoing medical and social care and treatment.
SHAME ON YOU! GO AND LOOK AT THE HEADWAY.ORG WEBSITE AND WAKE UP! "
