I guess I should give up swimming in public pools...what about the sea?

Best check with your specialist. I'm neutropenic, bordering on needing to go on a neutropenic diet and my haematologist said swimming in the sea would be okay, provided I kept my distance from others. Just be aware of any pollution from nearby storm water discharges or outflows from creeks or rivers. There may be public safety alerts you can check.

Prior to my CLL diagnosis in 1998 I had a terrible battle with what is called Beaver Fever... a parasite found in fresh water lakes... It is probably the reason I can no longer absorb B12... no intrinsic factor...

Hi in Europe I would head for a Blue Badge beach and many resorts publish their water quality daily. I love swimming but am careful. Best wishes
