MRD results are in after 3 rounds of FCR. I am wondering if any other members of this group achieved MRD after partial treatment and what your MRD numbers were. I achieved a 1% according to my Dr. any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I achieved MRD negative after 2 rounds of FCR and an additional 4 rounds of Rituxan and still in mrd - status 2 1/2 years later. My platelets bombed on FCR, the kept waiting for them to go up for round 3, the finally did a bone marrow biopsy and said no need to do any more. The Rituximab (R in the FCR) was continued to help with the platelets and it also helped to continue working with the FCR still in my body. My platelets now hover between 135 and 145 since finished. My Dr said if the goal was MRD negative why continue if achieved after 2, 3, 4, however many treatments. We were just lucky enough to have a reason to do the BMB. I’ve read on this site some Dr’s are now checking after 3 treatments to see if there reall6 is a need to finish 6 rounds. My markers responded very well to the treatment,
Sorry for the long delay in responding, My doctor mentioned testing after round 3 before I started FCR and then again after round 2 when the labs came back with good numbers, with the exception of the neutrophils. Round 3 was delayed and when I was able to finally complete the 3rd round labs and a CT scan that showed a 90% reduction in overall lymph node swelling he decided to stop the FCR treatments and do the MRD testing.
I am grateful for the 1% but wonder if a 4th round would have resulted in a 0%...or if it would have even been worth the risk? So many variables with this condition but time will tell.
Thanks for the information and response & I hope you continue to do well in your journey
Another round may have done some good but also might have been too toxic. It’s like walking a tightrope. I tried really hard to get my Dr to continue but he was insistent we were at a place where it may do more harm than good. Luckily the FCR worked extremely well in my body but I couldn’t do anymore.
Your Dr stopped for a reason, I’m sure the labs were telling him something.
Good luck on your journey as well, may you never need treatment again!
