Bilirubin level less than 2mg/dl within 3months of Kasai is considered as successful Kasai surgery, for cholangitis they will give IV antibiotics for 2weeks...
Hi Edwin, my baby also had kasai on 5/18/20. We are in the hospital now for the first episode of cholangitis 😞, only symptom is fever. She is on IV antibiotics. Our little one bili is now .5, like u we are so worry and praying she is ok as the road ahead of us is so rough. Praying for your little one !
Yes the Road ahead is tough but it only makes us parents stronger to be their for our kids. my son had 2 episodes of cholangites thankful it hasn’t happen again. His now waiting for transplant but it’s been a rough few months a lot of ups and down. Praying for you baby things will get better. Any questions feel free to ask anytime.
My son is doing good thank his he hasn’t got no more infection since the last one in April.
I won’t be able to tell you the name of the antibiotics cause it was in the hospital I just know it’s to strong to gave at home . They gave it for about a week.
