Where are you from?

They say that 20-30% become successful with Kasai, 30% are successful with Kasai but need transplant sometime in life, 30% fails with surgery and need transplant soon.

Good luck with surgery!! It is very hard to go through but pray and enjoy every moment with your son.

Rate should be similar. I hope surgery goes well so that he doesnt need to get transplant soon, but a lot of kids seem to be well even with transplant.

How did surgery go? Babies are stronger than you think. She will recover soon. If was very hard for me to accept and watch what my son had to go through but he is just happy strong little baby right now. She will be okay and recover. Enjoy and appreciate every moment with her.

Dear Murali, try to be positive so you can transfer that to your daughter. I know is tough to be positive during difficult times specially seeing such a small baby going through so much but there is no other choice; your baby needs surgery so she has a chance to live and have a normal life. Talk as much as you can to the doctors so you feel confident that they know what they are doing and that you know what will happen. I have read a few cases from India in this forum and they have gone well. I wish you and your daughter all the best and please let us know how it goes!!!!
